Mountaineer/Comedian Shailee is here with her most anticipated comedy special ‘Mt Everest Diaries’. Join Shailee on this virtual climb up Everest where she spills all the dirty secrets. 

Have you ever wondered how you go to the bathroom on Everest? What is the training like? Is it easier to climb Everest these days? Are there dead bodies for real on the mountain? In this special you will get all the answers. You will see actual pictures from the climb, hear stories of the great adventure and get some motivation, while enjoying a good laugh along the way. This is a family friendly show particularly fun for children above ten years of age. There will also be a Q&A session at the end. So if you ever wanted to ask a question to an Everest summiteer this is your chance!

Part of the proceeds from the show will go towards the training program to support young female survivors of sex trafficking in Nepal. Watch this space for the next show announcement!

Shailee Basnet in Comedy

Shailee started as a stand-up comic in the year 2011 in Nepal. After successful debut in the Nepali special titled ‘Thadai That’, Shailee has been performing in Nepal and the US.

In 2017, Shailee had her big break at Gotham Comedy Club in New York, voted as one of the top ten comedy clubs in the USA. Her show ‘Top Shot Comedy with Shailee Basnet’ was a runaway hit. Shailee has since returned to Gotham Comedy Club with more shows.

As a climber working for empowerment of young women, Shailee works with heavy-duty subject in a daily basis. Her vision is to bring the powerful developing world perspective and female narrative to the global mainstream entertainment through the language of comedy.

Her journey as a climber turned comedian has been covered by The ESPN, New York Daily news among others.

During the pandemic she started her online special ‘Mt Everest Diaries’ which has been a favorite among her followers.
